February 20 Penrith, Sydney

I have already had 3 double rotations. I have raced with a girl called Zoe Uphill from sydney (where we came 2nd), and i have raced with another girl from Sydney called Amy Ives. We came 3rd. Finally, i raced with a fellow Victorian, Catriona Sens. We also came 3rd.
I still have one more rotation to go, so it will be very interesting to see how it goes. Currently, i am clearly ranked 8th - and they only take 6 plus an emergency - which makes the number 7. So my chances of getting selected are rather small - at this stage. But atleast i can come away with a ranking of 8th in the country. All the other girls in my sculling group are 26 years old and have either already been to the Olympics, or have raced at numerous Senior World Championships. So the standard is very high.

February 14 Penrith, Sydney

Today we will move into the double rotations - and i am rowing in a combination with Sally Robbins. That should be very exciting and i will keep you updated.

February 13 - Penrith, Sydney

There are 7 scullers here, racing for seats in the Olympic team. In my heat, i came third - with the fifth fastest time. Pippa Savage - current Australian champion and Victorian Catriona Sens beat me, whilst i crossed the line 4 seconds ahead of Western Australian Sally Robbins.

This put me in a good position - for the final. However, my final wasn't that great. I came 7th - by 0.3 to 6th and a further 0.3 to 5th. So it was very close.
